How could the Jews miss the coming of Jesus and reject him.

It seems around 2000 odd years-ago that the Jews clearly under oppression from the Romans awaited a saviour, to set them free, trouble was like Judas trying to force Jesus' hand, they believed he'd come and fight, a warrior king.
He could have done, with all the angels and what not, very easily, but God is love, was the kingdom of heaven to be brought about by violence, well? After 911 we all know how that kind of thing feels, solves nothing, all this tit for tat.

Below are just some of the prophecies foretold about the coming king, messiah, son, immanuel, the christ etc.
Following uses King James so please use say an NIV or other version to better understand, okay.

Prophecies fullfilling the 1st coming of the messiah Jesus Christ

30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
Fulfilled
